The newspaper has gone over many changes.The biggest change was printing them on paper with the use of a printing press. By automating the production of the newspaper, its number of availability has increased, as well as making them cheaper.

These developments made a boom in the industry, causing them to be found more often in the big cities. Morning, evening, and afternoon additions started to be published. These papers gave readers news, weather, and sports.

However over the course of time, newspaper costs started to rise and the number of readers started to fall. Other media such as radios and television started to replace them in the information source.
