Newtons law

By:Kamia and Ashanta

Description os Isaac Newton

  • He was born in England on January 4, 1643
  • He died on March 31, 1727 at the age of 84
  • Isaac Newton discovered Newtons 1,2,&3 law

Newtons 1st law

  • Newtons first law can also be called inertia
  • The first law is when it stays at rest
  • An object in motion tends to stay in motion and move at the same speed and direction until a unbalanced fore acts

Example of Newtons First law

Newtons 2nd law

  • Newtons 2 law is when force is on a object
  • Force=m*a
  • There's also multiply names for the 2 law such as acceleration

Example of Newtons 2 law

Newtons 3rd law

  • Newtons law is just force on a object
  • The 3rd is just for every action there's a reaction

Example of Newtons 3rd law

Do we use Newtons laws?

  • YES, we do use newtons laws.
  • We use them when we go grocery shopping
  • when we get out the car were using newtons 1st law
  • when we get a basket and start pushing it we are using newtons 2nd law
  • after we checkout and grab the bags thats newtons 3rd law cause were putting force to the bag to put in the car.

definitions

  • force- push or pull
  • inertia-the tendency of an object at rest to remain at rest and the tendency of an object in motion to remain in motion at a constant velocity, unless force acts on it
  • friction-the force between objects that works against their movement past each other.
  • newton-the unit of measurement for the magnitude of a force
  • balanced forces-do not cahnge motion
  • unbalanced forces-cause a change
  • acceleration-an objects rate of velocity
  • motion-a change in an objects position over time
  • velocity-the speed in a particular direction
