  • Nicaragua has a tropical and warm climate.
  • Nicaragua has hurricanes becuase of the climate.
  • Nicarugua also has tidal waves becuase of this climate.
  • It is the biggest country in central america.
  • About 49,998 sq miles

CULTURE

DANCE

  • Las inditas. A masked dance about courting girls
  • Los diabilitos. Transletes to little devils. A boys dance
  • Las negras. Masked dance celebrating african influences in their culture.
  • El baile de los chinegros. It is a dramatic reenactment of a battle
  • between Christians and Moors

FAMOUS DISHES

  • Gallo pinto. It is a dish of rice and beans.
  • Nacatameles. Just like mexican tamales, but with a spicy kick.
  • Hamburguesa. Nicaragua makes good hamburgers with a spicy twist.
  • Quesilla. A tortilla with melted cheese, cream and a little onion.

  • Baseball is the biggest sport in nicaragua
  • Boxing has become a growing sport there
  • Soccer, swimming, and weightlifting are also big.

  • They celebrate Christmas because of the Catholic religion
  • The first week in april, they do religious ash paintings in león

  • If you visit Nicaragua, you have to try this out.
  • Volcano surving. Surf the gravel of an active volcano.
  • León. A old city that has alot of artifacts about the old ways.
  • Corn island. One of the clearest waters in Nicaragua.
