  • A little bigger than New York State
  • Has very fertile valleys
  • Largest of the Central American nations

One of the main foods Nicaraguans eat is called Gallo Pinto. It is a mixture of fried rice with onion and sweet pepper, and red beans mixed with boiled garlic.

The Nicaragua Flag represents different things. The 2 blue stripes represent the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, the white stripe represents peace, and the triangle represents equality.

One big event that happened in Nicaragua was when the 5,725 foot, San Cristobal volcano spewed ash, and many families in a 2 mile radius had to evacuate.
