Effects of nicotine on the body

  • 30-60mg nicotine is neurotoxic. 
  • 1mg in every cigarette of nicotine acts like a stimulant.
  • It decreases the appetite, boosts mood, relieves depression
  • Improves cognition and memory
  • stimulates intestinal motility, increases salivation.

How nicotine works

  • Absorbed by lung then quickly move into the bloodstrem
