PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Nitrification

in the nitrogen cycle.

Since ammonification is mainly turning inorganic matter into ammonia, nitrification is oxidizing ammonia into nitrite then to nitrates.

Aerobic ammonia oxidizers convert ammonia to nitrite through hydroxlamine.

Aerobic oxidizers are also autotrophs, fixing carbon dioxide to produce organic carbon, much like photosynthetic organisms.

Ammonia oxidizing.

Nitrates is the last thing of this and those go to plants.

When they get to plants, plants grow and that will get through the food chain eventually showing that this helps humans survive

As well as decomposers because animals will break down and die so that will replenish the soil with nutrients and the cycle will continue.
