  • The oldest known iron-based culture
  • 300 miles stretch of the benue platue region
  • They learned smelting from egyptians

THEIR CONTRIBUTION

  • They discovered the mystery of iron
  • They learned their techniques of smelting from Egyptians
  • They left behind an impressive aggregation of sophisticated terra cottas
  • And started learning the smelting of iron
  • Nok artifacts ranging from large scale sculptures to refined jewelry

TERRA COTTAS

  • They were from 2 inches to 6 feet tall
  • Terra cottas are the earliest known sculptures from nigeria
  • Nok artifacts were very important to them

THEIR GOVERNMENT

  • Nok village is loctated in jaba local government
