Canyon
a deep valley with steep sides, often with a stream flowing through it

Dune
a sand hill or sand ridge formed by the wind, usually in desert regions or near lakes and oceans

Delta - a nearly flat plain of alluvial deposit between diverging branches of the mouth of a river, often, though not necessarily, triangular

Forest

a large tract of land covered with trees and underbrush; woodland

Gulf

a portion of an ocean or sea partly enclosed by land

Coral Reef
a reef composed mainly of coral and other organic matter of which parts have solidified into limestone

Bay - a body of water forming an indentation of the shoreline, larger than a cove but smaller than a gulf

Cove

a small indentation or recess in the shoreline of a sea, lake, or river

Canal

an artificial waterway for navigation, irrigation, etc.

Crater - the cup-shaped depression or cavity on the surface of the earth or other heavenly body marking the orifice of a volcano or meteorite

Sandbar
A long mass or low ridge of submerged or partially exposed sand built up in the water along a shore or beach by the action of waves or currents

Island - a tract of land completely surrounded by water, and not large enough to be called a continent

Desert
a region so arid because of little rainfall that it supports only sparse and widely spaced vegetation or no vegetation at all

Geyser - a hot spring that intermittently sends up fountainlike jets of water and steam into the air

Dam
a barrier to obstruct the flow of water, especially one of earth, masonry, etc., built across a stream or river

Lagoon

an area of shallow water separated from the sea by low sandy dunes

Iceberg
a large floating mass of ice, detached from a glacier and carried out to sea

Volcano - a vent in the earth's crust through which lava, steam, ashes, etc., are expelled, either continuously or at irregular intervals

Spring
an issue of water from the earth, taking the form, on the surface, of a small stream or standing as a pool or small lake

Rapid

 a part of a river where the current runs very swiftly

Beach

an expanse of sand or pebbles along a shore

Plateau - a land area having a relatively level surface raised above adjoining land on at least one side, often cut by deep canyons

Channel

the bed of a stream, river, or other waterway

Ocean
the vast body of salt water that covers almost three fourths of the earth's surface

Sinkhole - a hole formed in soluble rock by the action of water, serving to conduct surface water to an underground passage.
