European countries started to invade north Africa to gain territory

1912 A.D.

Europe had gained authority over all of North Africa

1922 A.D.

Egypt regained its territory from European countries

1950 A.D.

Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia regained independents from European control

1956 A.D.

Europe lost the Suez Canal

1962 A.D.

Algeria gained their independence from European control

1976 A.D.

Morocco took over the former Spanish colony of Western Sahara

These had a kings burial chamber, a grand gallery, an air shaft, and an escape tunnel

  • Used to transport people from place to place and use for people to farm.

The Nile river is the longest river in the whole earth. 40 million people live on the Nile river.
