NORTH AMERICA

LANGUAGE

  • The major language spoken in the North American region is English.
  • If you include Mexico, the majors language spoken would be split between Spanish and English
  • It is predicted that by 2020, over 50% of people in The United States region will speak Spanish

GOVERNMENT

  • The United States is a Democratic Republic, as is Mexico
  • Canada is technically they are still under British Rule.
  • United States citizens enjoy voting, freedom of religion, the Bill of Rights, and free schooling.

RELIGION

  • The main religions in the North America region is Christianity and Catholicism
  • They all share the same bible, and belief of the same God

URBAN OR RURAL

  • For the most part, North America is very urban, and developed.
  • In some parts of America, and Mexico, and Canada, the area is rural, strictly because of farming.
  • Houses are usually apartment buildings, houses, and the occasionally mansion

FAMILY RELATIONSHIP

  • The families are usually small
  • A typical North American home will have a mom, a dad, two or three kids, and sometime a pet.

SOCIAL CLASSES

  • High class
  • Middle class
  • Working class
  • Lower class
  • The wealth you have is determined by your pay grade, which is determined by your education. It is not very well distributed.

FASHION, LITERATURE, ART, AND MUSIC

  • The fashion in North America is very modern; jeans, blouses, silk, etc.
  • Literature is very prominent in North America due to the internet making it easier for people to share things with one another.
  • Art is important in North America because they have documented our history like the painting of George Washington on the Delaware, painted by Emanuel Gottlieb Leutze.
  • Important artists include Mather Brown, Thomas Sully, and Rembrandt Peale.
  • Music is, like fashion, very modern, and slightly futuristic.

EDUCATION

  • Most people send their kids to public schools, the higher class citezins send their children to private schools and charter schools. Public school is the less expensive option of the three.
  • Most children are taught in schools, but some are taught at home by a parent or personal teacher.

LAND USE

  • The United States is split into 50 states, while Canada and Mexico are split into provinces
  • Land is mainly used for manufacturing but is sometimes used for farming and livestock.

TRADING

  • Goods traded between North Americans vary from electronics, to clothing, to food, to sometimes animals.
  • Outside the region is just as diverse, but also includes natural resources, and currency.

DIVERSITY

  • The main ethnic groups are Caucasian, African American, Hispanic, Asian, Pacific Islander, and Native America
  • While equality has been attempted, men are still being paid more than woman for doing the same job, just because they are men.
