THE SPACE NEEDLE

  • 20,000 people is its elevators every day.
  • The space needle is on of the most recognizable landmarks in the world.
  • Was built for the 1962 world fair.

MOUNT RANIER

  • This active 14,411, volcano & scenic hiking destination in the Cascade Range’s highest mountains.
  • It is good for hiking in its forests.
  • It has a bunch of different types of animals.

OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK

  • 922,000-acre park featuring snow-covered mountains, lush rain forests & dramatic Pacific coastline.
  • It has bunch of beautiful water falls all throughout its forests.
  • It has a bunch of lakes everywhere.

OLYMPIC MOUNTAINS

  • The Olympic Mountains are a mountain range on the Olympic Peninsula of western Washington in the United States.
  • Its elevation is 7,962 ft. above sea level.
  • The mountains are spread across four counties Clallam, Grays Harbor, Jefferson and Mason.

PACIFIC COAST RANGES

  • The Pacific Coast Ranges, are the mountain ranges that stretch along the West Coast of North America from Alaska south to Northern and Central Mexico.
  • Its elevation is 19, 551 ft. above sea level.
  • Its length is 3,800 mi. long.

PUGET SOUND

  • Puget Sound is a sound along the Northwestern coast of the U.S state of Washington.
  • Its length is 100 mi. long.
  • Its width 10 mi. long.

CASCADE RANGE

  • It is a mountain range in North America.
  • It is 14,411 ft. above sea level.
  • It stretches across British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and Canada.

COLUMBIA PLATEAU

  • It is a region in Benton County, Washington.
  • It stretches across at least 20 states or more.
  • It also covers the Columbia River Basalt Group.

FOUR REASONS I CHOSE WASHINGTON STATE

  • Well because I’ve been there before so I wanted to learn more.
  • Seattle Seahawks are from there since Seattle, Washington.
  • It has a bunch of different land features so I wanted to learn more about them such as Puget Sound.
  • Because it’s on the edge of United States so I wanted to see if any of the lakes there connect to the ocean or something.
