Saint John Berchmans

SAINT JOHN BERCHMANS

  • Patron saint of alterservers
  • He became a servent at age 13 for one of the Cathedral cannons at Malines.
  • He was canonized in 1888

Saint Robert Bellarmine

SAINT ROBERT BELLARMINE

  • Entered the society of Jesus in 1560
  • He became the cardinal in 1598
  • He left us writings including works of devotion and controversy

Saint Edmund Campion

SAINT EDMUND CAMPION

  • He taught at the college of Prague and was ordained there in 1578
  • He was the first Jesuit chosen for the English mission along with Father Robert Persons
  • He was charged with treason because of his priesthood in 1580

SAINT ANDREW BABOLA

  • Patron saint of Poland
  • Entered the society of Jesus at Vilna in 1622
  • He was martyred by two Cossacks in 1657

SAINT ANTOINE DANIEL

  • Became a Jesuit in 1621
  • He started a school for the men of Huron
  • He was canonized in 1930

In conclusion, these 5 notable Jesuits are just a few that I found that interested me. Almost every Jesuit in this slide is from a different part of the world, too.
