Background

• Oakland Athletics has been serving the East side of Michigan for the last 20 years.
• We offer indoor sports leagues for children as well as adults

Proposal. where you come in.

• Oakland Yard Proposes a partnership with the college.
• The college provides the land and parking lot to build the facility on.
• Oakland yard funds the construction of the facility and assumes responsibility of maintenance of parking lot and adjacent grounds.
• In return for use of the land and parking, the college will receive use of the facility during the hours of 5am-5pm Monday-Friday throughout the school year.

where is our competition?

• Total Sports Complex- Total Sports Complex is a chain of sports facilities mostly operating within the East side of Michigan
• Great Lakes Golf and Sport Complex- Similar business model but concentrating more on golf.

• The College will have a state of the art athletic facility for student athletics and programs.
• Oakland Yard assumes responsibility for grounds maintenance in summer and winter.

Timeline

• Project would break ground in May 2015 and be completed by November 2015.
• Initial agreement would outline 15 year lease of land and parking lot contingent upon mutual satisfaction.

what'll it cost?

• The new sports dome comes at no cost to the College aside from the donation of the land.
• Oakland Yard covers costs of construction and upkeep.
