Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapists work with clients with a mental, physical, emotional, or learning disability in order to help them improve their everyday lives, work, and school.

To be an occupational therapist, you'll need to get a Bachelors degree and then take a masters degree program in occupational therapy which can take 2-3 years. You may then move on to get a doctorate if you so choose.

Occupational therapists have an average annual salary of $75,400 and the potential for advancement varies depending on whether you go on to start your own clinic, go into management, or join one.

The job outlook is very good and the need for occupational therapists is high. Employment rates are expected to increase 29% between now and 2025.

Occupational therapists often work 40 hours a week and of those hours, many are spent interacting with others. Occupational therapists do not have to work nights.

Occupational therapy has improved with technological advancement. It has made communicating with patients easier.
