Symptoms of OCD include repeating steps, washing over and over, obsessing over small things, and extreme anxiety, along with separation anxiety.

Severe cases can not interact with many people at all, while mild cases can recover within years of trying to get better.

Most people with OCD can not keep a job or go to school because of their obsessive showering, cleaning, and organizing. Others have too many repeating actions and can not socialize with new people.

Some doctors have observed that OCD can be passed within the family, although it is usually not parent to child. Others have observed that it can show up after having strep throat.

Treatments for OCD include many antipsychotic medications and a few therapies to help with avoidance of repeating OCD related actions.

Another way to help treat OCD is making the sufferer touch "dirty" things, such as a toilet seat or a door knob.

Some will not compromise with people who have OCD, instead of making sure everything is okay.
