CALYPSO
- Calypso seduces Odysseus to stay on her island for 7 years
- Odysseus decides that his wife might want to see him
- So he ask Calypso can he escape she tried to convince him to stay
- Athena send Hermes to get Odysseus from Calypso's island
- Hermes succeeds and sets Odysseus free
THE LOTUS EATERS
- Lotus is a intoxicating or narcotic fruit
- To subsist it you just have to eat it.
- His men ate the Lotus
- When they ate it they would stay their browsing the flowers
- His men got addicted to the flowers
THE CYCLOPS
- Odysseus is a Journey when they get hungry and stop at a island
- They find this cave full of food and start eating
- The Cyclops comes back and eats 2 of Odysseus men,Odysseus thinks of a plan
- The Cyclops drinks some wine goes to sleep Odysseus pokes a stick through his eye
- Odysseus and his men escapes and Odysseus gives away his identity
THE ENCHANTRESS CIRCE
- The circe invited Odysseus men to a feasts
- Then she turned them into pigs
- One of Odysseus men stayed back and warned Odysseus other men about Circe
- Then Hermes intercepted him and told him To use herbs molly to protect himself against Circes attack
- Circe told Odysseus to go to sleep but if he did she would take his manhood.
THE LAND OF THE DEAD
- Odysseus seeks to find his destiny
- His source was Teiresia
- Circe tells Odysseus what to do rise Teiresia from the dead
- So he seeks his mission
THE SIRENS:SCYLLA AND CHARYBDIS
- The Circe tells Odysseus that he should go to Skylla
- She tells him that because Skylla would take 6 of his men
- She also tells him that because Charybdis would take his ship including him
- So he follows her orders puts the wax in his ears and after that Skylla comes out the water and takes 6 men
