HORSESHOES

  • The game of horseshoes started in the second century it is still
  • wildly played today.
  • The stakes stand 40 feet apart and are surrounded by sand
  • A ringer is worth 3 points
  • The other way of scoring is getting your horseshoe within 6" of the post

HERON

  • A heron is a long legged coastal bird
  • It's major source of food is mainly fish and snakes
  • Average life expectancy is about 17 years old

BEAR

  • A bear is a large animal the has the reputation of being a man eater
  • Bears are actually omnivores meaning they eat both plants and animals.
  • A bear symbolizes strength and confidence
  • A bears main source of food is salmon and berries.

LOO LOO

  • A loo loo is a slang word for pretty girl
  • From about 1900 to the 1950's loo loo is how they described girls

BUNK HOUSE

  • A place for workers to sleep because they are not allowed in the main house
  • Bunk houses usually contained cots with small matrices on them
  • Bunk houses could range from 5-10 people all the way up to 30-40 people

  • Also known as a whore house
  • This is a place where men go to "release stress."
  • Normally there are 10 to 20 women that "work" in these places.
