In the slave trade him and his sister were kidnaped by African Raiders.

- 1.Six to seven months him and his sister travelled to the coast
- but when they arrived they were separated.
- 2.A British military officer was the first to buy Equiano.
- 3.The next person to buy him was a Quaker merchant,
- Equiano managed his business.

- He settled in England and worked as a musician and barber.
