Exposition
Carley Conners was sitting in the back of the social workers.Summer was halfway done and she was going to a new foster home.Now she has to adjust to a new family and to a new school, all this on top of her mother being in the hospital. Can she get through these tough times?
Characters
1. Carley Conners- she is vey doubtful about her mother and her new life. But somehow she turns it around and learns how to enjoy it.
2. Mrs.Murphey- she is a very calm person, but when Carley go's to far, she can be put under a lot of pressure.
3. Toni- At first when Toni and Carley Meet, she can ack fearful. But when Toni get's stuck doing a project with Carley, she turns into her new best friend
4. Daniel- he is very disrespectful to Carley ever since she stepped one foot into their house. He feels like she's taking over his mom! But when Carley discovers his bad playing skills at basketball. she might be able to help!

Theme
The life lesson in this story is to forgive and forget. the reason I feel like this is the theme of the story is because of when Carley went to see her Mom in the hospital and
they had a lot of arguments. But now Carley has opened her eyes up to see that this is her mother, and she loves her. So she needs to forgive and forget the past.

Climax
Carley just woke up to hearing Mrs.Murphey
Ironing clothes. Carley wants to talk to her so she gets up out of bed and goes on to talk to her.Carley felt very uneased about what she was going to ask Mrs.Murphey, and hoped she would say yes. So when that moment came this is what she said," could I calls you my Mom?".

Falling Action
Mrs. Murphey felt very pressured at that moment, and she feels terrible! She would love for Carley to call her her Mom but, her own Mom may want her back! And it would just feel weird to have a Mom but would have to call her Mom too.

Resolution
Mrs.Murphey has to say no to Carley to call her Mom. This was just because Carley's real Mom is now in recovery at the hospital, and she's doing a lot better. So soon Carley might have to go back to her Mom. So now the question is will Carley take back in her Moms loving arms , or want to stay away from her FOREVER?

Summary
Twelve- year- old Carley Conners can take on a lot. Growing up in Las Vegas with her fun- loving mother, she learned how to get around. But when this new guy her mom likes starts to move in, she doesn't know how to handle it.Then at once her life is changing, a new home, new life, and maybe even a new Mom!
