  • Have strong passwords
  • Keep security software and firewalls up to date
  • At payment stage make sure website begins 'https'
  • Read and understand terms & conditions and privacy policies
  • Be cautious when buying items overseas

how to protect yourself- Dont's

  • Do not online shop on public computers
  • Do not reveal personal/credit card information on insecure websites
  • Do not pay with a debit card
  • Do not believe everything you read
  • Do not respond to emails from people/businesses you are unfamiliar with
