What is organ trasnplantation?

• It's when doctors remove an organ from another person and place it in your body. The organ may come from a living donor or a donor who has died.

• Pien Ch’iao, a Chinese physician, supposedly transplanted hearts from one man to another to balance out their wills and spirit
• Sushruta who was an Indian surgeon , performed skin reconstruction for a patient’s nose: a procedure now called rhinoplasty

A little bit of history (CONFIRMED CASES)

• In 1954, Dr. Joseph Murray performed a kidney transplant which successfully lengthed the patient’s lifespan as the donated organ was compatible.
• After that, there were many successful organ transplantations.
