PRESENTATION OUTLINE

THE CELL AS A SCHOOL

CELL MEMBRANE

BARRIER THAT SEPARATES A CELL FROM THE EXTERNAL ENVIORNMENT
The picture of the school represents a cell membrane because it keeps us from the external environment (world).

NUCLEUS

ORGENELLE THAT STORES AND PROTECTS THE CELLS DNA
Nucleus is like a classroom because it protects and Torres the DNA the class room being nucleus and people inside the DNA.

CYTOPLASM

JELLYLIKE SUBSTANCE THAT CONTAINS AND DISSOLVES MOLECULE BLOCKS.
Cytoplasm is like a cabinet because it contains building blocks for activities just like like cytoplasm has building blocks for molecules.

CYTOSKELETON

NETWORK OF PROTEINS THAT CONSTANTLY CHANGE TO MEET NEEDS OF TGE CELL
Cytoskeleton is like a support beam because it keeps the school from collapsing like the cytoskeleton keeps the membrane from collapsing.

SMOOTH ER

INTERCONNECTED NETWORK OF THIN FOLDED MEMBRANES WITH NO RIBOSOMES.
Smooth er is like a hallway because it is a pathway that continues to send proteins (students) throughout the cell (school)

ROUGH ER

SAME THING AS A SMOOTH ER BUT HAS RIBOSOMES.
Rough er is like a hallway because it is a pathway that continues to send proteins throughout the cell (school)

RIBOSOME

TINY ORGANELLE THAT LINKS AMINO ACIDS TOGETHER TO FORM PROTEINS.
Ribosomes are like construction worker
