This constellation is a hunter
Story
Greek mythology states that Orion was a talented hunter.He claimed he could get rid of all animals on earth,and angered the goddess Gaia.
Continued story
Gaia sent a scorpion to fight Orion. After Orion discovered he could not shoot the beast armor it jumped into the sea.
Ending
Artemis mistaken her friend Orion for an enemy and shot him. Artemis begged the gods to revive him but instead they put his picture in the sky.

This constellation can be found on the celestial equator it is one of the most recognizable constellations
