What is an ortho proj.

  • a method of projection in which an object is depicted or a surface mapped using parallel lines to project its shape onto a plane.

The common view

  • The most common view in an orthographic projection is the isometric (3D image), top view, front view, and the right side view.

Third angle projection

  • The third angle projection is the same as the first angle projection only laid out on the plan differently.

Hidden lines

  • A line used to define a part feature that is not visible in a specific view. Hidden lines consist of a series of short dashes.

The bowl method
