WHAT ARE OSTEOCYTES

  • OSTEOCYTES are cells inside the bone
  • They also come from osteoblasts
  • These cells can sense pressures or cracks in the bone

  • Main two types of bone names are Osteoblasts and Osteocytes

WAHT DO THEY DO?

  • They lay down new bone which is soft but it transformed hard.
  • They are responsible for breaking down bone matrix.
  • Bone matrix is substance of bone tissue
