POSSIBLE CAUSES
Genetic changes can cause immature bone cells
To become tumor cells instead of healthy bones
Rb gene is a suppressor cell that controls growth of cells
When mutated it no longer controls cell growth and tumor can form
11.
PREVENTION
There are no preventions
No immunities either
12.
HISTORY
The history of osteosarcoma is sketchy
No one knows for certain when it started
1932-One of the oldest case was found in a
Prehistoric relative of man
