Planning our community project, asking for donations from companies, sorting out a big event to raise money, contact stores for help and much more

WEEK 4

OUR SOCIAL ACTION PROJECT

Our social action project consisted of...;
1. Doing up two churches( st. Lawrence's and st. Pancreas's)
2. Doing a community garden (Halifax road)

Our goal
The goal for our social action project was to brighten up certain parts of Ipswich and to give the community a place where they would feel comfortable and safe to go. Our aim was to do a garden to allow people to unite and give it a more community based atmosphere

St. Pancras church...
We wanted to help out this site as the gardens where looking unloved... In a place where ceremonies happened we wanted the whole community to be attracted to this church so we chose brightly coloured flowers to help aid us in our project here.

St Lawrence's church...
We wanted to help out this church as they are part of the company realise future. This company allows those who find it difficult to get a job over a wide range of reasons those being from disability or a learning difficulty to being recently released from prison. We wanted to help them as they give so much to the community

Halifax road community garden...
We thought we would also do up an allotment of desolate land to give something to the community and the children of Ipswich to enjoy. We then donated the tools we had used to the garden to allow the upkeep of it to be at the best it can be.

At the end of ncs?
We have all gained things from this experience, whether it be patients for waiting to get our room, or teamwork to get to the top of Jacobs ladder. We all got into our challenge zone although we ended up losing valuable team members along the way for various reasons we all united as one body.
