This link is a good representation on what trench warfare was like for Canadian soldiers in WW1

My Choice

For my choice I used a quote.

"It can hardly be expected that we shall put 400,000 or 500,000 men in the field and willingly accept the position of having no more voice and receiving no more consideration than if we were toy automata."

That Quote was from Sir Robert Borden in 1916.


I feel this quote represent the views of French Canadian people at the time of WW1.
