AGHAST

  • Struck with surprise, horror, or amazement
  • He was aghast when he experienced the roller coaster at Valley Fair.

LEERY

  • Fearfull of the unknown
  • She was leery of the dark when she slept over at her friends house.

MOCK

  • To treat with scorn or contempt
  • The little girl was mocking the clown.

SUPERIORITY

  • Better than average; very good; excellent
  • Her mom thought she was superior because she got good grades.

  • A jail like institute for young criminals
