FACTS ABOUT OVERFISHING

  • People use large nets to catch huge amounts of fish.
  • Large are being caught too often which leads to more little fish. This changes an ecosystem.

EFFECTS OF OVERFISHING

  • When people overfish it's hard to catch the fish you want.
  • When all the big fish get caught only small fish are left and they die off or become endangered.

SOLUTIONS

  • The government is saying that people have a limit to how much fish or crab or any type of fish related animal they can catch, these are called quotas.
  • Other laws are being made so people can't overfish so the fish can repopulate.
