Oxycontin is a pain killing drug.

WHAT IS IT

Oxycontin is a pain killer pill used for post surgery patients.

It is most commonly swallowed, but some will crush it and snort it as well as inject it.

EFFECTS

It reduces pain and gives off high.

DANGERS OR SIDE EFFECTS

Drowsiness, delayed reaction, and sedation.

COST

$5-$10 per 40 mg tablet.

WHO IS MOST LIKELY TO USE IT

Post surgery patients.

HISTORY

Oxycontin was launched in 1996 and gained popularity with patients who weren't treated for pain correctly.

FUN FACTS

Oxycontin comes with a slow release outer layer to prevent addiction but people remove that and will cut it up into a sortable or injectable powder.
