MALLAY PENINSULA

  • The northern part of the peninsula forms part of Thailand
  • More than half of the land surface is covered with tropical rain forests.
  • The Malay peninsula is also called the Kra Peninsula
  • Politically, the peninsula comprises the far southeastern portion of Myanmar.

MEKONG RIVER

  • The Mekong River is the 12th longest river in the world.
  • The Mekong River is about 2,700 miles long.
  • Mekongs source is the Lasagongma Spring.
  • The Mekong River flows through China, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar.

MOUNT KOSCIUSZKO

  • Mount Kosciuszko is the high point of the Great Dividing Range.
  • The Mount Kosciuszko area is the coldest and snowiest part of Australia.
  • To the locals, mount kosciusszko is known as "Kozzy".

  • Transantartic basement rocks, similar to rocks found in Australia.
