FACTS/SUPPORTING EVIDENCE
High noise levels can affect your blood pressure, which can lead to cardiovascular problems, and change regular blood flow.
Your sleeping cycle can also be affected, excessive noise causes fatigue and lack of concentration in daytime.

6.
The safest range of sound levels is 0-70 decibels, exposure to 85 or more decibels for more than 8 hours can be hazardous.

EFFECT ON WILDLIFE
Wildlife face more problems than humans.
Wildlife can become disoriented more easily and face many behavioral problems.
Species of wildlife that depend on mating calls are often unable to hear these calls and will not be able to reproduce.

LINKS TO B.C.
Ocean noise like shipping, and other marine traffic is disruptive to marine mammals, and likely many other species.
This can lead to animal stress, disrupting navigation, feeding, and their ability to detect predators over vast areas.

CURRENT EVENTS
Festivals like Navratri are getting noisier by the year. In the city, loudspeakers are allowed up to 10pm, while on the last 3 days of Navratri, they are allowed up 'till midnight.

HOW WE CAN STOP NOISE POLLUTION
Some of the ways that we can stop noise pollution is to turn off your electronics.
Computers, game systems, televisions, and more, all make noise when they're not in use.
Ride a bike. You can help stop noise pollution and air pollution.
