HEEL TO TOE

  • When you land from a stride, the heel to toe motion uses your tibial muscles and your calves.
  • Tibial muscles are the muscles in front and to the side of your shin bone. They are contracted when you lift your foot.
  • Your calves are also used to push off for your next stride.

TAKING A STRIDE

  • Taking a stride uses your quads and hamstrings
  • This also takes your gluteus Maximus muscles and your thigh and hip muscles
