PRESENTATION OUTLINE
REBELLIOUS, GALLANT, AND DILIGENT
In the 1960’s Cesar Chavez led a grape march. He boycotted grapes so the land owners would lose money. The migrant farm workers hoped the land owners would give them better working conditions
This shows Cesar was rebellious because he fought the land owners no matter how many times they told him to stop.
The land owners weren’t giving the migrant farm workers good working conditions so in 1962 Cesar Chaves called a meeting to form the National Farm Workers Association.
This shows Cesar is Gallant because if a land owner found out they would all be fired.
In 1988 Cesar Chaves did a 36 day “Fast for Life,” meaning he did not eat for 36 days. He did this to bring attention to his cause.
This shows Cesar was diligent because he cared about his work and followed through with his work.
