THE PURPOSE OF STEWARDSHIP It tells us to be responsible for the decisions we make about how we use the earth and its resources such as water and wildlife.
CHRISTIAN OUT LOOK ON STEWARDSHIP The Christians view is that God created the world and that they should look after it and for its resources such as water as it plays a big part in the rituals such as baptism.
ISLAMIC OUTLOOK ON STEWARDSHIP In the Qu’ran there is about 500 verses stating that they need to look after their environment. They believe us humans have a special role on the earth and that is to act as it guardians. The color green is viewed as the most blessed color in the beliefs as it symbolizes nature and life.
JEWISH OUTLOOK ON STEWARDSHIP In Jewish beliefs they believe that God created the world and they are suppose to look after it like Christians but the Jewish on the Sabbath they believe that all of God’s creation takes a rest and farmers don’t work on that day to show and understand that God owns all the land.
BUDDHIST OUTLOOK ON STEWARDSHIP In Buddhist beliefs they believe that all life is precious and all life is connected. They believe that all living creatures share the same conditions birth, old age, suffering and death. This means they have a compassion for all living things.
HINDUS OUTLOOK ON STEWARDSHIP The Hindi religion believes that the earths resources are extremely important as the worship a god of water, earth and sky. They have huge respect for trees and rivers. Mahatma Gandhi preached about living a simple life in harmony with the earth.
CONCLUSION In conclusion all religions tell us the respect the environment and the things in it some more than others but they do tell us to have a moral vision when it comes to the earth.
