THE STORY OF THE CUPCAKE

It all starts here in the mouth, I was put in here first. In the mouth, there are teeth, a tongue, and saliva.
The mouth broke me down into smaller pieces and the saliva moistens it.

Then, I traveled down the esophagus. It's a hollow tube, that contracts and sends food to the stomach.

Plop! Next, I land right in the stomach. The stomach is a hollow pouch and it uses muscles, acids and other chemicals to break food into smaller pieces.

Wee! I'm going through the small intestine. The small intestine is a tube lined with villi. It's basically, absorbs nutrients into blood and chemically digests food.

Oh no! I'm in the liver, it's very large and triangles shaped. I realized, that the acids in digestion by producing chemicals that break down me (food).

Wee! I'm going through the large intestine. The large intestine is a Tube that contracts and pushes waste toward the anus. It helps to get rid of waste and absorbs water back into the blood.

Where am I? I'm in the anus. I realized its a muscular opening. It's function is to allow waste out of the body.
