Theatre acting has been around for many years and was founded by the Greek. Over time, acting has became more and more popular.
Many events in Theatre/Acting history have been influenced by politics, religion and popular culture.
There are many historical figures that have succeeded, some even still succeeding, in this career. However, there are some that really stand out more than others in my opinion. Johnny Depp, Leonardo Decaprio and Dave Franko are some of the many actors that succeed in this occupation. They have put a lot of hard work and dedication into their job and they are loved and appreciated by many.
The education required is long-term training, but post secondary classes or bachelors degree is suggested.
A bachelors degree is not required but it's helpful in learning the craft.
Some colleges in Michigan offer the education for this career. Some of the many are: Aquinas College, Central Michigan University, Eastern Michigan University, Michigan State University, Oakland University/Community College, Wayne State, etc.
The best route to attaining this job would be to take high school Drama classes, study, practice, and audition. There really in no set time on how long it will take you to obtain this career and succeed in it. It really depends on you on how long it takes to become an actor/actress.
You need to determine if acting is really something that you want to do. If you really want to secede in this career, you need to get a degree in drama, it is however not mandatory. You have to practice and audition so maybe try out for small parts and plays and work your way up with the more experience you get. You have to sign with an agent and see how far they can take you from there.
Some skills you should have to succeed in this type of career would be to have creativity, to work well with others, have strong critical thinking skills, have a good memory, be an effective speaker, work well as a team, be a good listener, and accept constructive criticism on a regular basis.

Daily duties/kinds of tasks in this job is to attend auditions and casting calls in order to audition for roles. You have to collaborate with other actors. It's your job to learn more about the character. You have to perform humorous and serious interpretations of emotions, actions, and situations, using body movements, facial expressions, and gestures. In order to interpret, learn and memorize lines, stunts, and cues as directed, you have to study and rehearse roles from scrips.
Most budget feature films entail 2-3 months of shooting, 5 days a week. The standard filming day is scheduled for 12 hours, sometimes or often ends up being 16-20 hours because days run long.
As for the dress code, that's based on what the personal stylist and costume designers want you to look like or wear.

Really the only benefits from acting are being famous/well-known, getting to be on tv/posters/etc. and they money.
The positive perks to this career would be: being famous/well-known, most likely earning a lot of money, getting a lot of opportunities that most people aren't offered, traveling the world, and seeing beautiful places that people would die to see. The challenges of this career would be: a lot of away time from family/friends/etc, a lot of work and dedication, if you're really famous there would be people in your business and eventually rumors would spread and that's stressful.
A lot of people wear similar things that actors/actresses wear because they look up to them or people may just like the style. So really actors, in a way, create a lot of trends.

Many actors/actresses and screenwriters aren't getting their usual salaries. The economy has been hitting every industry hard, including the film industry.
With the improving technology, it's making filming a lot more realistic and interesting and I think now that people are improving technology more and more, that's going to effect filing/actors/actresses in the future.
This career affects everyone greatly. Almost everybody in today's society go to plays usicals, watch a lot of television, and movies. Without actors/actresses to make this possible, people wouldn't be able to attend play/musicals or watch television/movies.
This career is important to society because actors/actresses/acting/etc. involve everyone's everyday life.
I think that acting would be a good job/career choice for me because I enjoy all of the positive things this job has to offer and I want to be able to do all of the things that this involves. This is definitely one of the few career choices I would consider doing in my future.
