KING RAMA X

INTRODUCTION

• King Rama X is born on the 28th of July 1952.
• King Rama X is the son of Queen Sirikit and King Bhumibol Adulyadej or King Rama IX.

EARLY LIFE

• When King Rama X was 1 year old the 13th Supreme Patriarch of Thailand of the Rattanakosin Era named King Rama X, "Vajiralongkorn ".
• Vajiralongkorn began his education in 1956.
• In August 1970, he attended a five-week military training course at The King's School in Sydney, Australia.
• In 1972, the prince enrolled at the Royal Military College, Duntroon in Canberra, Australia.

LATER LIFE

• After his father's death on 13th October 2016, he was expected to suceed to the throne of Thailand.
• He accepted the throne on the night of 1December 2016 but will not be crowned formally until after the cremation of his father.

FAMILY

• King Vajiralongkorn's father is King Rama IX or King Bhumibol Adulyadej and his mother is Queen Sirikit Kitiyakara.
• King Vajiralongkorn has 3 sisters, Princess Sirindhorn, Princess Chulabhorn and Princess Ubolratana
