WHAT WAS HIS BACKROUND

• His full name is Salvador Felipe Jacinto Dalí y Domenech and he is a Spanish surrealist artist.
• He was born May 11, 1904 in Figueres, Spain.

• From an early age he was encouraged to do art and he then went and studied in Madrid.
• He became a surrealist artist by talking to artists such as René Magritte and Pablo Picasso who inspired him to do his first piece.

ARTWORK

• When painting he used various materials such as paints mixed with natural resin or linseed oil for a smoother and easier application to the canvas, or black ink for outlines.

• A lot of his artworks where pictures of his own face which were put onto other creatures or objects.
• His art was related to surrealism as it was very creative and strange
