Laurens day with inventors

by lauren faulkner

One day, Lauren woke up to three strange figures in her room. "Who are y'all?" she thought.

The three men introduced themselves as Gregor Mendel, Niels Bohr and Marie Curie.

"Why are y'all here?" Lauren questioned. "Why, we're here to teach you about science!" They replied.

"What kind of science?" Lauren asked. "Elements!" Curie replied. "Atomic structures!" replied Bohr. "Heredity!" replied Mendel.

"What's the point in learning science?" Lauren wondered aloud. "Science is important because it shapes our society! It's everywhere!" Replied the inventors.

"I discovered two natural elements! My work in radioactivity also became very important!" stated Curie.

"That's cool and all... but my theories on atomic structures helped shape research worldwide!" proclaimed Bohr.

"I discovered basic principles of heredity! My discoveries became the foundation of modern genetics and the study of heredity." Said Mendel.

Lauren was amazed by the contributions these scientists made to society. She even wanted to become an inventor herself!

But she soon learned that to become a great inventor like the ones standing before her she needed to put in a lot of hard work.
