When a character in a play, movie, or TV show breaks character to talk to the audience.

A stock character is a fictional character based on a common literary or social stereotype. ex. blonde stereotype, cat lady

Stream of consiousness is when thoughts pass through the caharacter's mind, also known as the interior monologue.
