  • They have one toe per a foot.

  • Flat teeth
  • Have hooves
  • Has a mane

What the habitat is like!

Wide open, very few trees, desert like, dry, and hot.

THE FOAL

The foal is born from the mother.
When it’s born it already it’s stripes . It can walk within 10 minutes from birth. For the first year it drinks from its mother.

How they talk

They snort, nicker, squeal, bray, and they make high pitch barks. They also recognize others by stripe patterns.

Predators

Zebras have many predators. Here is a list of them . Loins, leopards, hyenas, African wild dogs, and crocodiles.

HOW THEY PROTECT THEIR SELVES

-run away
-kick
-Bite
-and the stripes make the predator dizzy.

What they eat!

Grass, plants, tree bark, fruit, stems, roots, twigs, leaves, hay, and the drink from water holes .they often eat all day.

How they adapt

Zebras run really fast so they live in prairies. They also need grass to eat and there is tons of grass here. And they don’t have a thick layer of fur so they like warmth.
