This original fine art oil painting, was created by the young and talented artist from Latvia, Ivan Onnellinen. It was painted on canvas stretched on a wooden frame, and the sides are completely painted. A Beautiful work of Impressionism and the female form. The subject is European, brunette, with wet hair that falls over her right shoulder. The bath tub is copper or copper coloured. There also appears to be a water jet or drain near her right hand. The water appears to be churning, and is not clear. There are also bubbles or soap on her arms, left hand, torso, and breasts. The background is Indistinct but conveys the impression of walls.
The subjects face grabs your attention. The look in her eyes and on her face keeps pulling the observers eyes back to her. There is also an irresistible sense of femininity and sensuality that is projected to the observer. The play of light on her body is well executed, and the use of the colours red and orange highlight her curves and expression.
This painting is an excellent example of modern nude Impressionism. It's tastefully conceived and executed, without over-stressing eroticism. The artist has captured the beauty of the subject both in form and emotion, and conveys that raw emotion to the observer.
