The Medici family became very wealthy from wool merchants and bankers. They also supported science. They supported the famous scientist Galileo Galilei in his scientific efforts and Galilei also worked as a tutor for the Medici children. WILLIAM SHAKESPEAR

After William and Anne had the twins, there are no records of the next several years of his life. Historians often refer to those years as the "lost years". William went into theatre and joined an acting company called Lord Chamberlain's Men. In 1597 Allen decided he wanted to tear the theatre. They later made a new theatre called the Globe Theatre. He also became fa,mous for his poetry. His most famous poem was Venus And Adonis. William retired to his home in Stratford and died on his fifty-second birthday.

JOHANNES GUTENBERG

Johannes was born in Mainz, Germany around the year 1398. His biggest invention was the printing press that he made in 1450. A key idea he came up with was the moveable type. The first printed item was a German poem. Johannes printed 200 bibles in a relatively short time. The original bible sold for 30 florins. This was a lot of money back then for a commoner, but much, much cheaper than the hand written version.

MICHELANGELO

Michelangelo was born in Capreese, Italy on March 6th 1475. His mother died Shem he was only 6 years old. He was sent to the Medici family to continue his training under the sculptor Bertoldo di Giovanni. His most famous of all the scenes The Creation of Adam. In the middle of the painting is god and Adams hands are almost touching. His full name was Michelangelo di lodovico Buonarroti Simoni.
