Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ (Colossians 1.28).

We want people to become more like Jesus in their thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Discipleship

...to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ...
(Ephesians 4.12-14)

Discipleship is not Automatic...

...though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God
(Hebrews 5.12).

Belief Informs Behavior

Discipleship is Not Just About Learning

Everyone who hears these words of mine and does them... (Matthew 7.24-28)

Show me your faith apart from your works and I will show you my faith by my works (James 2.18).

...faith apart from works is useless
(James 2.20).

If your faith hasn't changed the way you live, It's not worth much!
