- In the U.S. 397,122 children are living in the foster care system. 101,666 of these children are eligible for adoption, but nearly 32% of these children will wait over three years in foster care before being adopted.

- If abortion was illegal, it would increase the amount of children in orphanages. Also, parents would be more likely to neglect their children due to the fact that they were unwanted.
- Abortion will be legal but the federal government will not provide any funding or support for the procedure.
