What does being a leader mean?

It's a leader's ability to motivate and collaborate with people that helps them to deliver that vision.

Leadership in hockey

Leadership in hockey

  • Good leaders know how to show up every night and put in effort and dedication. They battle through adversity and come through, no matter the situation.
  • This defines a captain and what a true leader does.

Leaders

  • More teams are delegating responsibility to younger players, including Toews, who became the third-youngest captain in NHL history before last season. Philadelphia's Mike Richards became captain last year at age 23. Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby
  • This is showing that even the younger adults on the team can set a role model and make right decision.

Never quitting

  • Hendrick scored 20 points, including 12 goals in 14 postseason games, and was also named the league's playoff MVP that spring.Hendricks said“I was really happy when I found out I had this.
  • This is saying that he is showing all the hard work he put in really did pay off.For example he was named the league playoff MVP.

Improving skills

  • Hendricks said“I think everyone can still get stronger and faster, “Those are my main goals as a player
  • Everyone can get stronger and better if you practice and the more you practice, the more skills you will pick up.

Dedication

  • Hendrick isn't going to rest on his laurels. He recognizes that his game still has a lot of room for improvement. And he knows there's a lot of hard work ahead to get better.
  • Showing that he never quits and saying that he can improve more and the only way he is going to do that is with hard work

Hockey Skills

  • Hill said ''He taught Cameron basic skating skills like learning to stand, skate backwards, and pass a puck.''
  • Skills that he learned for hockey and the basics you need to know.

Improvement hockey skills

  • Hill said "Cameran was super easy to teach and loves learning hockey. He has just gotten so much better compared to a year ago,"
  • This is showing that he loves to learn and play the game and learning new skills.
