Components of the Health Triangle

  • Physical
  • Social
  • Mental

Physical

  • Physical health is controlled by a person's eating and sleep habits. Also, by their exercise they partake in and their oral hygiene.
  • When evaluating someone's physical health doctor's look at if they have drug, alcohol, and smoking habits that could later bring illnesses.
  • Physical health is overall crucial when wanting to have the other parts of the health triangle stay as healthy as the physical.

Social

  • Social health captures the way a person reacts to others in his or her environment.
  • It encompasses family and friend relationships also public health. Social health is so important when wanting to gain a bond with others.
  • To attain a well social health, a person needs to show respect, communicate, care for him/herself and others, and have the ability to keep thoughtful people in their life and be able to cooperate with them.

Mental

  • Mental or emotional health is when a person has regard to their emotional and psychological well being constantly.
  • A person who is good with their emotional health expresses feeling in a appropriate manner, enjoys learning, uses their mind to develop skills, and learns from mistakes and can discipline themselves.
  • Mental health needs to be controlled, so at times a person doesn't have mood swings every 20 seconds and can know when to stop and control themselves.

Physical, Social, and Mental health all play a crucial role in someone's life. When working together they mesh well to make sure one part of the triangle doesn't over power another. To some people physical appearance matters when being social showing how they work together. Having a good exercise at least once a week is great but requires a equipped mental health to keep it going. As seen, the 3 parts of the health triangle work together in a person's daily life.
