THE BEGINNING
I believe this was cut out because not much happened in the beginning and the director might have thought this part boring.
In the early part of the movie, the kids snuck in to the court house and watched as Tom Robinson got arraigned.
I think that this was a good decision because it showed who Atticus was and it also shows the controversy of Atticus defending a black man.
I believe this was changed because it took a few weeks for Jem and Scout to find the things in the knothole but in the movie, it only took somewhere between 10 and 30 seconds saving time for more important parts of the movie.

I think aunt Alexandra showing up would complicate the movie and take too much time, therefore, she was never created.

In the movie, Jem and Scout never go to church with Calpurnia. I believe this was another scene cut from the movie because it wasn't necessary to the plot and it there would be need for more characters.
